North County Regional Fire Authority Offering Free ACT to Save a Life Community Training
North County Regional Fire Authority is offering ACT to Save a Life, a free one‑hour training that equips community members with practical skills to respond during the first critical minutes of an emergency. The ACT program focuses on three essential interventions:
- Antidote (Narcan) Administration: Recognizing opioid overdose symptoms and safely delivering Narcan.
- CPR & AED Basics: Hands‑on instruction for initiating CPR and understanding AED use.
- Tourniquet Application: Proven techniques to control severe bleeding.
While not a certification course, ACT provides valuable, confidence‑building knowledge that can make a life‑saving difference before first responders arrive. The community is encouraged to attend one of the upcoming sessions:
